Wireframe rendering should be used for tertiary elements, after quadtone and full color have been used for primary and secondary elements. A wireframe can also be used for a diagram or as a spot illustration in a column of text.
Wireframe illustration should be computer generated, not scanned from a hand drawing. The lines should not be too thick or thin; follow the examples at left and any wireframe images currently on the web site. Wireframe lines must be rendered in Marine Blue, a primary color in the AvantGo Base Design palette. A wireframe can have detail but should not become a maze of lines. Again, key art direction should come from the AvantGo design philosophy, which calls for lots of white space and targeted design. Since a wireframe drawing is made of monochromatic lines, aggressive perspective should be used to create depth.
