The AvantGo drawing style is unique. Aggressive perspective is used to create visual depth in an image, but not to the point of warping the image. Layering objects in the foreground and background also helps create depth.
People should always be drawn to accurate proportion, scale and anatomy. Because faces are often the primary focus of a page, facial detail is crucial in the AvantGo style. Dynamic poses and figures in motion are often used to enliven a static image. Artists should take care to render only as much detail as their computer can convert. Sometimes images will become muddy or unreadable when viewed on the web at 72 dpi. Drawing by hand on paper is always encouraged, and creates a more fluid and life-like image, but all hand drawn illustrations must be converted to a computer generated wire frame. |
